3 to 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into pieces for kabobs
1/2 cup low sodium or gluten-free soy sauce
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onion
2 teaspoons grated ginger
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup bourbon
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Place all ingredients in a gallon Ziploc and marinate 2-12 hours, the longer the better.
