Sirloin Marsala

1 1/4 lb Sirloin steaks
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
3 TB olive oil
1/3 cup butter
1 large yellow onion
1 green bell pepper
1/2lb mushrooms, sliced
¾ cup marsala wine (dry)
6 fresh Thyme sprigs
NOTE:
**1 tsp dried herbs is equal to 1 tablespoon of fresh herbs

Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a large heavy skillet. Sauté steaks quickly turning once or twice until brown and cook  to desired doneness. Cover with foil to keep warm.

Add marsala and thyme o skillet and deglaze the pan. Boil until mixture is reduced to ¼ cup, then pour over steaks and serve.
